If you are looking to open a personal or business account, follow the steps below for an easy transition… we will be with you every step of the way.
Step #1: Open your new Branson Bank account(s).
Apply for an account today by clicking the icon above or stop by any full-service Branson Bank location. Step #2: Get organized.
Create a checklist of all your automatic transactions that will need to be switched to your new Branson Bank account(s). (For example: Social Security, utilities, loan payments, and subscriptions, etc.)
Step #3: Transfer your direct deposits.
To transfer your direct deposits, speak with your employer and any other vendors so your funds can be automatically deposited into your Branson Bank account. Please contact your employer’s payroll department if you have questions about their process.
Step #4: Transfer your automatic payments.
Reach out to any third parties to request the transfer of your automatic payment(s) or to establish a new automatic payment from your new Branson Bank account. Please allow sufficient time for your first payments to be activated. Every third party (utilities, loan payments, etc) will have their own way of updating this information to your new Branson Bank account number.
Want to save time? Many companies also allow you to change your automatic transfer information within your account on their website.
Step #5: Close your old financial account(s).
It’s time to say “goodbye” to your old accounts! Contact your previous financial institution to close your account(s) and give directions on how to disburse any of your remaining funds. Before closing those accounts, ask them if there are any fees associated with closing them. Make sure all of your checks and debits have cleared BEFORE you close your old account. If you have a remaining balance, you can even have it automatically deposited into your new Branson Bank account.
