Tanger Teams-up with Branson Bank's Veteran Program

On Thursday, November 9, Tanger Outlets Branson and Branson Bank partnered to honor three area Veterans. Mr. Pete Andela, Mr. Jim Davis, and Mr. Edward Krieser, all 2017 Branson Bank Veterans of the Quarter, were honored in the first Veteran ceremony at Tanger Outlets, that morning. “It was a natural fit to partner with Branson Bank and support their Veteran program,” stated Jamie Whiteis, Tanger Outlets General Manager. “Tanger Branson was proud to provide these gentlemen with a Hero Care Package, which included, a Tanger Gift Card and several items donated from our stores. We also created a mural mosaic where shoppers had the opportunity to write special thank you messages for Veterans during Branson Veterans Week. This mosaic will be presented to Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 913 after Veterans Week.” “We appreciate Tanger’s partnership and willingness to honor our recent Veterans of the Quarter,” stated Bill Jones, President of Branson Bank. “We are proud to serve and honor those who have sacrificed so much for our freedom every day at Branson Bank.” VETERAN STORIES: Mr. Pete Andela served from 1953 to 1955 in Germany during the Korean War. He was stationed in Giessen, Germany where he worked on guns and was a mail clerk. He was in the Army’s 44th Field Artillery Battalion and was 20 years old when he began his service for our country. Mr. Jim Davis entered military service in 1964. Jim was a member of the First Marine Division, First Engineer Battalion, Headquarters Company, Logistics. Jim was part of the first major offensive landing off the ChuLai Peninsula in Vietnam in 1965. Jim reenlisted in 1967 and served as a recruiter for the US Marine Corps until discharge in 1971. Mr. Edward Krieser enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in December of 1965 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and travelled to Vietnam in November of 1966 as an Infantry Rifleman. After being wounded on two separate occasions and receiving the Purple Heart Medal, he received an Honourable Discharge for medical reasons at the Philadelphia Naval Hospital.
