30th Veteran of the Quarter, Susan Schade, US Army

Susan Schade joined the United States Army in 1991 and served honorably until 1999.  She started her career in Fort Jackson, South Carolina, and graduated as a Medical Specialist from Fort Sam Houston, Texas.  She was then transferred to Germany as an Army Medic and also served as an Administrator for the Battalion Commander of the 501st Forward Support Battalion which was directly involved with recovery operations during “Desert Storm.”

After her tour, Schade was assigned to Fort Campbell, Kentucky until her 4-year enlistment was completed.  She then joined the Army Reserved in Nashville, Tennessee, and served another 4 years as a Medical Specialist until 1999.

Schade has since lived in the Branson, Missouri area and presently resides in Taneyville, Missouri.  For the past 5 years, she has managed the “Kitchen Collection” store in the Branson Meadows Mall.

Schade is a Life Member of the Disabled American Veterans Chapter 68 in Branson.  She is a very passionate and dedicated volunteer helping homeless and needy veterans and their families in the local area.
