44th Veteran of the Quarter, Kenneth Ranger, US Marines

Kenneth Ranger was born in West Palm Beach, Florida. While in grade school from 2nd to 12th grade, Ken attended a military school and was involved in the JROTC ARMY program.
Ranger served in the United States Marine Corps from 1975 to 1979. Over the course of his military service, Ranger served in San Diego, California, Boot Camp in 1975; Camp Pendleton, California – 1975 & 1976; Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, 1975, 1978, and 1979; and Okinawa, Japan from 1976-1977. His military MOS was Engineer Equipment Mechanic, mostly at Camp Lejeune. He achieved the grade of Lance Corporal.
Ranger holds a college degree in retail management from Colorado Springs College of Business in Colorado. After military service, Ken worked as a diesel mechanic. He worked in the retail field for 30+ years and was a craftsman at Silver Dollar City. He enjoys fishing and woodworking as hobbies.
Ranger is a member of Branson Veterans of America and has served as Color Guard/ Honor Guard Captain and has missed only three events in three years. He is currently a Sergeant of Arms for the Veteran Organization. He helps with every special function that the organization holds, including the fishing tournament, the 5K Run, the Veterans Day Parade, the Veterans Benefit Show, and many others. He recently received the “Member of the Year” award for Branson VVA 913.
He is married to Liane (22 Years), and has five children, and seven grandchildren.
