39th Veteran of the Quarter, Robert McMorris, US Navy

Robert graduated from Hazelwood High School in 1969. Joined the Navy right after and served for 3.5 years.

After he got out of the Navy, he worked for Alcoa Aluminum at night and went to school during the day. He became a drafting designer doing piping designs. He was employed by Petro Chemicals designing plants and worked for them for 20 years.

Active member of the Kimberling City Elks Lodge #2505 and the Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter #1119 in Kimberling City (where he serves on the Color Guard and Honor Guard).

With the VVA Chapter #1119, he serves as a Board Member, Chairman of the Poppy Fundraising program, assists with their Music on the Lake Summer Program and the Annual Golf Tournament Fundraising. All of these programs raise money so his Chapter can help other Veterans and their families when they need assistance with rent, food, gas, and other needs.

He has a strong dedication to help and serve all fellow veterans in the area.

He has a son and daughter.
