Bank Matches Funds To Assist Teachers In The Classroom – August 13, 2019

August 13, 2019

Branson Bank now offers a creative way to give back and support the area Educators’ Discretionary Fund. The proceeds raised through Branson Bank’s debit card program, Giving Back One Card at a Time, will assist teachers in purchasing the needed items for their classrooms throughout the year.

Community members can support our educators by purchasing a debit card for $5 each, upon opening an account and instantly receive the debit card. The bank will match that fee, bringing the donation to $10 per card. Customers that are employed by the school will receive a complimentary debit card, and Branson Bank has pledged to donate $5 per employee, thus covering their cost.

“Giving back to our community is one of our Core Values at Branson Bank,” said Cory Ross, VP / Retail Operations Branson Bank. “I’ve seen, first-hand, how teachers use their own funds to meet the needs of their classroom. As a community bank, designing this unique program is a small token of our appreciation, with the intentions of lending a helping hand.”

The school-themed debit cards are currently being issued for Branson Pirates and Forsyth Panthers. Over the next few months, students at Blue Eye, Bradleyville, Hollister, Taneyville, Reeds Spring, School of the Ozarks, and Kirbyville will have an opportunity to design their school debit card. The selected student winners will have their work commercially produced, be recognized in the 2020 Branson Bank Calendar, and receive $50 to start a Checking/Savings account at the locally-owned community bank.

Branson Bank is a $225 million asset community bank, locally owned and controlled, state-chartered financial institution with locations in Branson, Forsyth, and their Lending Center in Branson West.
