On Thursday, May 12th, Tanger Outlets celebrated 30 years by attempting a world record of hosting the largest dessert party. All Tanger Outlets Nationwide gathered their communities at the same time to take the first bite of several desserts.
“What kind of dessert party would it be without our warm chocolate chip cookies?” said Lyndi Carnelison, Community Relations Coordinator. “We had a great time and we were sure to bring a couple bags of our cookies as a birthday gift to the Tanger Staff.”
People came together under 34 tents in 22 states to eat dessert at exactly 2:00 PM to set the world record, which included the 200 people at the Tanger Outlet Mall in Branson. On May 13th the Guinness Book of World Records confirmed that Tanger officially holds the record for the World’s Largest Dessert Party!
