On Tuesday, October 8th, Branson Bank and the University of Missouri Extension Office hosted the ‘Cattlemen’s Tour Program and Dinner,’ offering important information to local cow herd owners and farmers.
Over 100 local farmers attended the event that began at 4:00p.m. at Rick Burkhart Farms in Taneyville. Area farmers, outdoorsmen, and veterinary professionals came out to learn some tips and techniques to help them make those important decisions before the upcoming winter months. Some of the topics discussed include: crossbreeding, artificial insemination of heifers, and a weed and brush control demonstration sponsored by Dow Chemical Company.
“As a community bank, we look for ways to give back to our friends and neighbors,” said Dean Harmon, Executive Vice President at Branson Bank. “We will continue to support the community, utilizing the resources made available to us by great partners including the Missouri Extension Office, as well as, providing the financial assistance necessary to help our neighbors grow and prosper.”
