The 2011 Relay For Life (RFL) event for Taney and Stone Counties was held June 3 - 4 at Cedar Ridge Track in Branson. Branson Bank team members braved the heat and walked the track all night long on behalf of friends and family touched by Cancer, proudly displaying the theme, "Banking on a Cure!"
"Relay For Life is truly an unforgettable experience," said Lyndi Carnelison, Community Relations Coordinator of Branson bank and Chair of Publicity for RFL of Taney and Stone Counties. "It is a place where cancer survivors can come to celebrate with family, friends, and their community. We all know and love someone who has gone through tremendous hardship because of cancer and we will continue fighting until there is a cure."
Branson Bank Team members raised nearly $3,000 in the fight against cancer contributing to the $175,000 that was raised by Relay For Life of Taney and Stone Counties on June 4th.
