(Branson, MO) – After several months of collecting recipes for their 3rd Annual Community Cookbook, Branson Bank is proud to announce the Non-Profit recipient of the 2012 Cookbook will be Branson MOPS PM.
The annual contest allows Taney and Stone County residents to submit recipes for the cookbook and it provides an opportunity for local Non-Profits to “compete” for a chance to win the proceeds from the sales of the cookbooks. Individuals are allowed to submit up to 5 recipes, receiving one vote per recipe submitted. This years contest surpasses the 2010 recipe numbers with over 1500 recipes submitted and votes counted.
“This year was an exciting one! It is remarkable to see the amount of love and support for our area non-profits,” said Halley Fleming, Director of Marketing. “The lions’ share of the votes came in for 2 specific organizations- our winner, Branson MOPS PM with 872 recipes and votes, followed closely by Tantone Industries with 544 recipes and votes. I am overwhelmed and in awe of the support coming from individuals in the community.”
Branson Bank’s 2012 Community Cookbook will go on sale mid-November, just in time for the holidays. Due to size restrictions of the book, only 750 recipes will be displayed; however, all votes were counted and Branson MOPS PM will receive all profits from the sales of the cookbook as early as February 2013.
“We really appreciate the support that the community has shown with our cookbook project,” said Bill Jones, President. “The past 12 years in Taney and Stone County have been amazing and, keep your eyes peeled for more ‘Sweet Traditions’ from your local community bank, Branson Bank!”
